Elmau Subplot (2022)

Costing a total of €166 million and guarded by more than 18,000 security forces, the 48th Group of 7 (G7) was held in June 2022 at Elmau Castle in Bavaria, Germany. The summit was German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’ first. The outcome was long-awaited considering the climate crisis, however the leaders of the seven countries did not manage to address the all-encompassing issue of the global climate collapse adequately.
